BEAUTY, THE UNSEEN AND SEEN

     Being pretty or handsome is just a feature, but beauty comes in many forms. One might say you’re one in a million because you’re a million in one. Sometimes a person would consider one to be beautiful in every aspect, and being just pretty in terms of features. Either way, when it comes down to it, what really matters is the beauty within us. An unseen force that attracts the hearts of those around us, which in turn makes us special or unique altogether. Not everyone has the same perception about a person. 

      Naturally, of course, we’d be drawn towards a person’s features at first sight, and then their inner complexion later. Its undeniable that looks comes before personality or character, and if those to come in a package, you’re in luck. Sometimes it’s either one of these traits, good looks but bad character or vice versa. It totally depends on your preference, whether you would choose one over the other. At the end of the day, personality wins over looks. Seriously, I’ve seen many people (especially girls) choosing character/personality over looks. I’m not stereotyping girls, but from my perspective as a guy, conflicts between couples these days are usually caused by the girl stirring up a big fuss about a minor bad side of a guy. Frankly speaking, it’s through my experience as well, but if every girl is so touchy about a certain matter then the human race would be on the brink of extinction. 

      That’s a metaphorical exaggeration, don’t take personally. A guy/girl could be kind and loving but not look like Hollywood or Korean Drama actors. Nobody is perfect and it’s always one thing for another. If you’re lucky enough to find a person that’s decently looking and fits the exact description of your taste, congratulations, the only thing left to do is to just maintain it. A wise person once told me this “what you want is not necessarily what you need”, and true enough, we set conditions or barriers for ourselves till we find “the one” that we’re looking for, but what if that person doesn’t feel the same way about you? Preparing ourselves to be that person should be the priority. Other than that, it’s just a matter of training yourself to be who you are. Don’t ever be who you’re not or who you want to be.

TO FALL IN LOVE

Each one of us expresses our love differently towards others. Here are my thoughts on love, an essence that permeates through a human that makes me question myself as to why it exists.    What does it mean for someone to fall in love? Is it a feeling? An expression? A choice? Or just mere infatuation? We have been seeing people define love in all sorts of manner. But how do we define love? Is it in a lustful manner? Or showed by just giving stuff or caring about others? A person once asked me about whether I would love a person or to be loved by a person. My thoughts on it were substantially naive, because I would choose neither.
