MUSIC, THE MEDICAL THERAPHY OR REOCCURING AGONY?

Image
Music, the very core of our being composes these majestically renowned sounds of pure magnificence. As a music enthusiast, it has been a long time since I’ve started indulging myself in the glorious sounds man-kind has ever produced, including genres such as Pop, Rock, Soothing, Etc. The songs/music that I listen to mostly is Pop (boy bands, etc.) and Rock (also boy bands, etc.). This obsession that I had for music intensified when I started to teach myself how to sing and started taking basic and free (note this) drumming lessons when I went to church, I mean, you’re getting to know God better and free drumming lessons, that’s something too long for if it were me. It’s been 7 years and counting since I’ve started playing the drums. You’ll reach a certain point when you’re musically inclined, where you can play any song just by listening to it, and I have to say, as a musician, it’s really fun.        Listening to music and getting myself involved in musical stuff has al

BEAUTY, THE UNSEEN AND SEEN

Image
Being pretty or handsome is just a feature, but beauty comes in many forms. One might say you’re one in a million because you’re a million in one. Sometimes a person would consider one to be beautiful in every aspect, and being just pretty in terms of features. Either way, when it comes down to it, what really matters is the beauty within us. An unseen force that attracts the hearts of those around us, which in turn makes us special or unique altogether. Not everyone has the same perception about a person.        Naturally, of course, we’d be drawn towards a person’s features at first sight, and then their inner complexion later. Its undeniable that looks comes before personality or character, and if those to come in a package, you’re in luck. Sometimes it’s either one of these traits, good looks but bad character or vice versa. It totally depends on your preference, whether you would choose one over the other. At the end of the day, personality wins over looks. Ser

EATING RIGHT?

Image
The bliss and satisfaction food gives us is undeniably immeasurable. A man may survive ten gun shots without it hitting his vital organs, but not a day without food. Someone once told me this, “Unhealthy food are always nice to be consumed, can’t say the same about healthy food though”. This concept is a simple yet, it isn’t easy for us to digest. If I were to lay a whole load of Burgers and sweets side by side with some greens and fruits, which would you reach out to first? Now if you’re a super healthy person (Cough) do me a favor and please choose the unhealthy food, logically or should I say more often than not, we choose a side which is easy for us to swallow. Eating right doesn’t always mean eating the right food, but it also means eating the right way. I believe that the majority of us have been living in a nation that has an abundance of food and it can’t even be compared to the rural places in Africa.  Wasting food is a taboo from where I come from.       Taking h

THE SOULLESS MIND

Image
Our bodies, physical manifestations of what used to be of the earth, are empty husks without a soul in them and that is what makes us truly human. Even so, can we truly consider ourselves to be humans even with this soul of ours?        Like any other creature on this earth, we strive to survive. However, we’re gifted with a soul and a mind that transcends any living being on this planet. However, a question arises, are we using these two gifted features in the right way? Judging by the way the planet is affected by our actions today, the observation that I’ve seen clearly is that we act without thinking about the consequences or in another sense, we are educated to know what would happen if we perform a specific actions that would endanger the eco-system that has been laid out since the beginning of time. A question that always comes to my mind is that “why do we, as humans, know about the consequences of performing a specific action and end up regretting it after we do

REALITY, THE UNREAL AND REAL

Image
I’m sure at some point of our lives, each of us had dreamed of a world void of reality. It might seem like a bunch of gibberish to others but to us, it definitely means everything. What more if we meet someone else who shares the same dreams that we have? Things get better.   Now, as a student that’s currently pursuing a certain course that was not entirely favorable to me, I often dreamt about how my life would be If I wasn’t doing what I’m presently doing now. Every now and then I’d indulge in these matters and I always question myself, “Is this what I really want”?        Despite that, sometimes, it’s better to be in a reality that enables us to improve on ourselves when we choose not to. Comparatively, if you live in a world where you could crave your own path or wishes that would be too easy. Of course, the options that we have might seem very limited as we do not draft our own paths freely in certain situations (Parents, Results, etc.). Sometimes the life that we cho

A BRIEF GRIEF ON THE PAST

Image
The title explains it all, and if you’re reading this now, there’s a chance that you’ve been in a relationship with a person before, be it a person in the past or a current one. Now, if you currently have a partner whom you cherish as much as he/she does, you don’t have to continue reading this, or you could read it when you’re single again (just joking). Anyway, to put it bluntly, I’m a guy that used to have a girlfriend, a really outgoing person. She was a strong, kind and a loving person. When you’re with someone, all you can think of is how amazing they are to you. Considering the fact that I was single till the age of 20, it was something extremely big for me as it would have been for anyone (I would like to believe it that way) and of course, what other things would you decide to do other than spending more time with that person (to date him/her of course).        Getting attached to someone is an ecstatic yet frightening experience if I may say. Now, I’m writing th
